Window collisions are just natural selection.

Facts

If birds die due to sickness, old age, or because they weren’t quick enough to escape a falcon’s talons, you could say it’s just nature.

But window collision victims do not die from a natural process.

They are healthy, strong birds that die because humans place glass in their way.

If they have a nest, they’re also not the only victims.

That was the almost the case with the young Black-capped Chickadees below. They were brought to a rehabber after both their parents were killed only hours apart by the same window.
