Cord curtains

Cord curtains made from paracord, nylon cord, jute or hemp are a cheap DIY option for both large and small windows.

Cords at least 3 mm thick can be fastened at the top and bottom using slats of wood, aluminum channel, rods, hooks, or even horizontal lengths of rope.

Because of wind and shadows, the cords can be spaced up to 10 cm apart.

Because it resists tangling, paracord can be fastened at the top only, although many people prefer fastening at both ends for a cleaner look.

Cotton cord is not recommended because it deteriorates quickly.
